I’m actually ok with it. At the end of the day, we don’t get to just have the respect and recognition we deserve, no matter what, the chances of that happening are gone. Call me old school, I do still believe in a moral code, I do still believe that what truly makes a man a man is that willingness to let the women and children go first. If we want respect, validation, and recognition, we have to hold up our moral code. At the end of the day we will always be able to say “you treated us like garbage, kicked us when we were down, and yet we still sacrificed for you”. Because while it isn’t a responsibility we asked to have, it’s one that has to fall on us. While there’s many things in society that need to change to show equality, I think this one just is the way it is. On the bright side at least it means that in a war you’ll be surrounded by brothers that love you and would lay down their life for you as you would for them, and brotherhood can’t be taken away. And more realistically if we do get drafted it’s more likely we just do motor pool or something while squads of autonomous fighter jets do the rest.

What kind of defeatist mentality is this? Do you have any idea of what happens in war? Watch videos of Ukrainian soldiers and Russian soldiers brutally dying. If women can reject traditional gender roles. Then why can’t men also? Then it’s not really gender equality.

Nobody here wants free worship just fair laws and social relations

have to hold up our moral code. At the end of the day we will always be able to say “you treated us like garbage, kicked us when we were down, and yet we still sacrificed for you”

This moral code existed for centuries and never benefited the common soldier, nobody will care about your sacrifice stop thinking like herd

So you are pro state cohercing men into death, believe that is any moral code and that will give you any moral high ground? wake up guy THEY NEVER RESPECTED conscripted usa tested chemical arsenal on them if you believe men will get any respect out of it you are naive to be tame on terms with you

it's one that has to fall on us.

And you need to reject it plain and simple, the ones hired that actually signed by their will to be in the army fight not random young men
